It was also in 1988 that Tinker Hatfield came on board as the new designer of the Air Jordan Shoes. His first project, the Air Jordan 3 was totally different from the first two. The Air Jordan III was also the first of its kind with the visible air soles and the Jumpman logo. Nike indeed made the right decision with hiring Hatfield.
