This move on the team's part was an excellent one, as the players became more motivated. Michael Jordan even set a personal best of 69 points in a game versus the Cleveland Cavaliers. Tinker Hatfield was once again chosen to design the Air Jordan V (5), after the success of his previous designs. The new Jordan Brand Shoes featured new innovations - the silver/reflex tongue and the clear rubber soles. The Air Jordan Shoes V also came with the lacelocks. Rumored to have been inspired from the WW2 Mustang, the Air Jordan 5 is truly one of the best designs that came out.
