Nike and Michael Jordan were a force to be reckoned with. The sales of Air Jordans skyrocketed after Michael won the Chicago Bulls their second NBA Championship. Nike knew they had built up an entire line of shoes around the right man. During the 1992 Olympics, Michael was once again part of the Dream Team. They brought home the gold medal, and the whole world rejoiced at their victory. The number of awards that Jordan received that year cemented his status as the greatest Basketball player of all time. The Jordan shoes 7 got the nickname ""the Buggs"" after Michael Jordan was featured in a TV commercial with Bugs Bunny. Many people were amazed at the revolutionary Huarache technology that was incorporated in the Air Jordan 7 . It was also the first shoe that had the Neoprene sockliner. While many loved it, others just detested it. When the Jordan 7 Retro Kicks were re-released in 2004, it sold out in just a couple of weeks.
